Unprecedented times- Coronavirus- March/April
As per the usual I would either place down here some happy thoughts or my grumbly rants but today, the tone shall be quite different as shall delve onto matter. So with that being said, I am more scared to come off as whiny or as if I am not better off than billions of people right now... However I decided in order to especially remember these moments I should at least document my experience in this global pandemic here to look back on.
Apart from studies, I was really fortunate enough to not go through strenuous hardships therefore I cannot deny that I am in a position of privilege because I don't need to worry about the roof over my head, or my source of income (working at two essential businesses / services one of which is at a small Korean grocery store so thankfully not been furloughed), or taking public transportation where my dad (furloughed as working in a restaurant) help out by driving me to work in the pharmacy, or even the likelihood of death in my immediate circles which honestly cannot be forever more thankful for not being put in heart-wrenching position...

Run with the Wind~
Three Words.
I. Love. It!
As you can tell, I have finished! And have even made another entry dedicated for this.
GOD, Honestly how could I missed this anime!?! It's soooo underrated.
ABSOLUTELY love it!! OMG 100% 10/10- Very motivational
I just love this type of show where the characters really does develops and you can definitely see the change not just in the main character but others too where they change for the better!!! It's an absolutely life changer.
Not exaggerating but I feel it's one of those anime that really does lift you up from your depression spiritually/ mentally. It really change your perspective of how you see things in various way, one of which is definitely running but in general such as what life really is...
However be warned that at the same time, this anime's also gonna make you feel somewhat empty as you finish the show. I know I did lol, think I am going to stop watching anime in a mean time.
Basically taken and edited from Wikipedia once again, this show is about a former elite runner at high school named Kakeru who is chased for stealing food. He is saved by a Kansei University student Haiji, who is also a runner. Haiji persuades Kakeru to live in the old dormitory "Chikuseisou" where he plans to team up with fellow residents to enter the Hakone Ekiden relay marathon, one of the most prominent university races in Japan. Kakeru soon finds out that all of the residents except for Haiji and himself are complete novices.
I 1000% +, no, more like indefinitely and highly recommend this anime! It has now landed into my top number 1 anime show especially in the sports field. It's definitely an entry to make and to watch for. I really will miss this show as it was an absolute rollercoaster in the most painful yet fulfilling way. Simply Gold.

Breather
Born to be Wild...
A Mid Review this time! in the midst of the Coronavirus Gosh, am I super glad to have come across this anime! Like when was the last time I watched a non romance one? ......2-3 years ago!?! It's a sports show and now that I think about it, the last time I watched along that line was Yuri on Ice and Free Season 1. Both of which are quite good but they're not quite something that y'know.... brings out the edge? or makes you want to write on a spur despite them having those intense moments of competitions made here and there. It must be the fan service
This anime has a flavour of reality so meaning that not only does it has a comedic acts but it brings out some real deep meaning making you have some good 'reflection' as you go along. Most importantly there's a lot of character development. Huge commandment to that! Love that a good show that actually brings out action, and I can also see the subtle differences made by the studio such as the when the characters undergo physical changes, and no I don't mean the men's abs *Ahem* (Free~)
Anyhow! Back on "track", maybe it's just me but you can see the physical changes when their skin tone change as they train under the hot sun (episode 12?) lol the attention to detail is great
Blimey, this anime got me hooked! Also the soundtrack is so amazing! Did I tell you that was the one that got me into this anime? Hahaha
(Should have mentioned it from the start)
*Actually Insert the song*

This Manga is to be kept with Love!
Heyyy
So I'm back (officially!?!) . Slowly getting back to being my 'old' self I suppose, by reading some mangas...Maann! This hits home, I wonder when was the last time did I lose myself in a manga 😌.....
Love in Cherry blossom. I highly recommend this manga! Finished on 08/03/2020
I first found this out from it being an animated series then decided to finish the manga in English lol. More information right down below ⇣
Despite it's slow start which I gotta admit was tad boring, however as you go along the story line it gets better and is pretty refreshing!! Honestly up till now, never in my life have I felt so intrigued to actually carry on to read and finished a manga, What's more, to be more precise it's a manhwa meaning it's a Chinese comic. Sorry if it sounded patronising by the use of the emphaised words but seriously I haven't felt that much compulsion towards Chinese produced animation (ok that's a slight lie, see down below) let alone its' comic series.
I guess it's all thanks to now wanting to improve my mandarin since I started a part time job (lol) at an oriental/korean supermarket and my love for psychic princess, another good manghwa and now animated series to read and watch! (which I shall definitely do a quick review of this) hahaha
So Love in Cherry Blossom, Where do I begin!?!
This manghwa, as you can tell from its name, is about all about Love and I guess the abundance of life lol~ If I have to choose one word to describe this story it would be: Youth
Here a rating and a Summary of the story:
8/10
It basically revolves and centres around a girl name Lu and a boy name Xia Yi with both of them holding each other secret. The boy is the coolest guy in school whilst the girl is the shy innocent type. Both of them hold each other's secret and in order to keep it within themselves, they make and exchange a deal. Spoiler alert: One of them (the boy) offers to help produce a love confession (no surprise there). Could this be genuine or could it be a tease...? Or....?
Alright so you can probably gather the plot/ gist just from the summary of the story which does contains a spoiler, but that's the foundation of it. This mostly happens at the beginning (that was the boring bit lol) however I can assure you it does get better. Luckily I decided to carry on to read and not judge the book by its' cover- have to admit that was what pulled me in lol- and also the summary as well, as beside these two main characters we do have some side characters which to me was what brings out the finale and true flavour of the story. Going to leave a picture that sums what I meant by 'true flavour ' ⇣
Artwork: 10/10- Now I just don't do a section of a review purely on the artwork and would normally clump it all into one piece of the review but this part definitely needs a parts of its own!
At the beginning, the artwork wasn't that great but as the story progress and with time, it gets better making it aesthetically pleasing. I absolutely love it! (I currently making it my as phone background hahaha)
Final feelings and conclusion: 9/10
Overall, made it into my favourites to read and perhaps to watch out for again- looking forward to hearing and finishing it in Mandarin! And if got time to reading it (Mandarin) Chinese.
More Info: As of now writing, this manghwa is currently turn into an ongoing animated series. It is done slightly in a style of a Vomic (where its voice over in the comic) but there are some animated movement in the production made by animation Dong I presume, thus making it animated series.

Kokoro Connect
~✨~✨~✨~✨~✨~✨~
Written on: Friday 13/03/2020
But finished this anime: Monday 02/03/202
But finished this anime: Monday 02/03/202
Kokoro connect, an anime that I can't believe that I have either missed and/ put on hold?! It's a 2012 animation, Like Wow! Where have I been? Lol
The story primarily involves five high school students - Taichi, Iori, Himeko, Yoshifumi, and Yui - all whom are members of a club called: Student Cultural Research Club, at the high school they attend. They all face different phenomena in their daily lives, all seemingly caused by a cryptic entity which refers to itself as 'Heartseed', who is intent on using the phenomena to test them for an unknown goal. As the five undergo these phenomena, the strength of their bonds will be tested.
Story: 9/10 + (Artwork 7/10) - Mostly the story I am interested. It has a good plot and despite some supernatural elements, it underlies realistic part of our life such as identity which till this day I am still trying to find out. It almost cover what is life in general. So relatable. A rollercoaster in the most vivid way you can imagine, and by that I meant surrealism is also included in here like their desires (spoiler alert!) are been put through a trial.
Absolutely love it. I just love this type of show where the characters really does develops especially Iori. What's more, this anime suprisingly has a different storyline almost 2-3 episodes each time so you won't feel bored of just having to watched the same thing over and over again which was what I first thought initially. Having different storylines captivates the people even more to carry on, thereby makes it into my entry of a good anime lol.
'Edited' Conclusion: Overall it's about 8/10 relative to other shows that I have watched so far. Check out: Run with the Wind
Would I recommend this anime? Yes, I would recommend especially to those who wants to find out what is identity like me is as this story absolutely questions yourself what you are.

New Year...New handle/name for this blog: appleofyouhotshot
Haha so Where to begin, as I mentioned before and was saying... I really wanted to change my name for this blog (which was in February 2019 😅 -> https://chi-chic123.blogspot.com/2019/02/february-update-pondering-to-change.html) due to having different names in the past (like 2-3). Hence, would just like to keep all of my collective thoughts all under one name.
As always, I have procrastinated but I really can't believe it has been a year!!😅😂 Jesus!!
Instead of having to keep on delaying the change, I've finally decided to definitely change my handle name and after much thought
These are the list, lol:
- appleofyouhotshot
- applechic233
it seems like I will change within the website name from Chi-chic123 to appleofyouhotshot (my first original instagram handle lol).
This effect will take place from February 2020, so stay tune :))
