Installation of the Windows 10 on a Mac, YAY!

Right, Don't mean to brag but.... I, Adeline Hau, have FINALLY  muster the courage of managing to install the Windows 10 onto her very own MacBook by herself which took like what... forever!?! hehehe πŸ˜€

Ok ok before any question could be raised, why do I want to install the Windows 10 and what do I want to do with it since I got the a Mac as an operating system, isn't that being difficult?
Righttt,

1) I saw this from my cousin Christopher of being able to own a dual system in his MacBook. I found this really cool and so this inspired me to do the same lol (This was probably back in 2013?)

2) To elaborate more form the 1st point, my cousin also managed to get games installed on Windows which was that 2nd operating system (OS).

And why is this post so highly emphasised when in actual fact it may comes across as a simple / not so much of big of a deal, well here's how the story actually goes... Shall we delve into it?!

I brought this MacBook (I'm using this now to type btw, not that it is relevant here but anyways....) on the 15th of February 2017 πŸ™ˆ (after much saving with the pocket money that I earned during my times for part-time work in Uniqlo).... However I ended up not using it immediately much to my mum disgrace- yes I know this is ridiculous and now reflecting back on it, it was indeed not a wise thing to do but what could I say- I had some memories and tons of workload was still in my old laptop back then, on the Dell Inspiron N5040!?!  How could she expect me to just throw everything and just jump straight to the new MacBook?! Like hello, as much as I would like to try out my new baby but I can't just abandon this laptop especially since you brought that for me?!

Anyways back on track, the only time that I end up properly using it was like around August 2017 (17th August 2017 to be more precise) was where I was beginning to prepare for a fresh 'start' to the new Academic year (This is where I began my 1st year of studying Pharmacy).
After getting used of working my way around the MacBook, I then decided it was time to install of what I originally had in mind when I brought the device, the OS: Window 10. But there was only one problem....I wasn't sure how to install nor did I dare to risk to install the OS by myself.
Luckily, I didn't had much on my MacBook at the time and so took it to the nearest computer store to get it installed. Despite the cost, (Yes, it was pretty expensive- £50! 😭), The whole process was pretty simple and quick, roughly 4 hours it was done. I was ecstatic! Delighted, I started to use it to my pleasure, quickly installing a software called Steam which is a gaming app that allows you to download games that on to the respective OS. I managed to buy and download the games that I wanted which were called: Scribblenauts: Unmasked, only available on Windows 10 as well as a game called Broken sword and Machinarium both which are requires you to solve problems, and lastly a game called: To the Moon. Those games mentioned can be interchangeably used between Windows 10 and Mac; I was more concerned of getting the Scribblenauts lol.

It was not until after a couple of weeks of playing the games, that unfortunately the Windows 10 decides to do something funny. I had to delete the Windows System, which got me back in the slump of as the thought of having to bring the MacBook to the store and to go through the whole process again was pretty tiring even though the store was nearby....I ended up going in the end..
On 19th September 2017, I finally found the courage to go back to the store (as I'm quite wary of giving away the device; the possibility of exchanging certain components within the computer could be done behind the scene but I took that thought out of my head) and once again gave my MacBook to the same person in charge luckily!
I use the MacBook until like 3 months later around December that the system acted up once again. This time at my own accord, I factory reset the Mac, meaning that I would have to go through the whole process again of having to get the Windows OS through the computer store. But this time I didn't go.

Fast Forward to January 2019, The thought of getting windows 10 was always lingering in the back of my mind constantly, I couldn't get my mind off it somehow- I had to get to the bottom of this!
I brought the Windows 10 installation disc through EBay on Friday 11th and received it on Saturday the 12th. With slight help from Apple with the information on how to install and abit of watching tutorials from Youtube here and there, I managed to decode and encrypt it as a disc image (a virtual installation software?) and from there install the Windows 10 via BootCamp, which it seems to be the only way to install the windows I think.
The process of getting the Windows installed was like a breeze; pretty simple and very straightforward. The only risk and worrying part I would comment would be getting the disc image encrypted and to determine the storage size of your windows to your desired/ideal standard.
Other than that, the rest of the steps were simple.
As soon as the installation was complete, I quickly do a run-through to make sure everything was nice and smoothly done - That there should be no interruption with the work.
Everything was working G.O.O.D πŸ˜πŸ‘ In fact it was PERFECT!
I was over the moon!

And that my friend, was how I manage to get the windows installed (on my own as well hehe!) :)
Actually This wasn't the first that I attempted something like this (It's been a long time since I felt victorious like this but I remember I did it on a PS2; Where I made a pirated game hahaha) nor will it be the last I can feel it in my bones I would may have to do this once again to get more games that I'm planning to get....πŸ‘€.

Other than that and to conclude, What a way to start! 2 weeks into the New year and I have to say this was quite impressive! πŸ˜€
I think I should put this on my New Years resolution to celebrate this attempt lol ^^
